Our Goal

Praise & Worship Teama. To lead the congregation into praise and true worship.b. To constantly meditate on the songs and scriptures received by the Minister of Music and the Praise & Worship Leader.c. Certain members will be on standby at all times for church events and special services. What you see before you are the responsibilities of the Praise & Worship Team as a whole. I dare each and every one of you to meditate on these responsibilities and truly ask God is this particular section of the Ministry of Music one that you should participate? The first assignment says that the P&W team must LEAD. As head of this ministry, I have to lead. Leadership doesn't mean telling people what to do. Leadership involves humbling yourself and leading by example. How can you expect me to lead you into the new dimension God is taking this ministry if I am not living up to the standards of Jesus Christ? We make so many excuses for our mistakes, claiming that we are only human. That may be the case, but that doesn't mean that we should continue to fall. There needs to be some sign of perseverance and forward progress in our relationship with God. Leadership starts with making yourself right with God on a consistent basis, whether it's through prayer, scripture study, meditation time, dance, or singing. Singing on the P&W team is an opportunity to lead the people into the holies of holies, meaning we should experience this atmosphere throughout the week and not just Sunday. You're probably wondering where this is coming from. Well, myself and ministry leaders have been in the mist of developing a stable of structure for the Ministry of Music. One of the things I have been pondering upon is who will be used consistently on one or two praise teams we will build at World Fellowship. When I sit and try to think upon these things, God reminds me constantly that "I am the only one who knows the true state of every heart Adam". Leading the people into worship is an awesome opportunity, but also a very serious one. If you feel that God is calling on you to take a role in this P&W team, please email me back, call me (404-384-2466), or even pull me aside at church. I want God to move, even as you read this email, and if you feel the pull of God on your heart, PLEASE contact me and let me know so we can begin to get to work. God is calling us higher. I dare you to make a greater effort in prayer and meditation time. Hope to hear from everyone soon. -Adam
